Interoperability Enables Tusa-Designed Radio System to Assist with Flood Calls

It is gratifying to see that the TUSA-crafted St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office radio system performed so well during the recent flood. The system went live in late July, just in time to be thoroughly field-tested. As part of the Louisiana Wireless Information Network (LWIN), St. Tammany was able to assist Livingston and East Baton Rouge parishes, whose 911 centers were overwhelmed by the scope of the flooding event. Louisiana is one of only a handful of states with this level of user roaming and seamless communications interoperability. Find Out More
